Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, wanli Green and yellow glaze dragon pattern porcelain lidded jar. ​This porcelain jar has an open mouth with a slightly out-turned lip, short neck, large, thick and tall, globular abdomen, heavy on mid, with reverse flat bowl dome lid, raised on flat round footed base. This jar in green and egg yolk yellow fine color, is an excellent object on exterior with five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames and vapors, with face and upper right appendage outstretched toward the heavens. Vigorous dragons chasing flaming pearl amidst flames against egg yolk yellow color scrolling cumulus clouds. The backdrop depicts swirling wind and fire painted atop a beautiful green under glaze. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. ​

The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings, Made In The Years of Wanli Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
