2 West African Adinkra Cloths, Ghana. Adinkra is a traditional African fabric with the design made by stamping. It is the traditional funerary dress of the Asante peoples of Ghana. Ex collection Jerome Vogel, New York City. Jerry had a long association with the Museum for African Art, NY and he taught African ceramics as part of the Drew Univ. West Africa Program. For Cross Roads Africa he led museum and student groups on tours of West Africa for decades. Size: 10'11'' x 7'3'' (333 x 221 cm); 2) 11'7'' x 9' (353 x 274 cm).
