Tavola calcogr. firmata "Paulinus fecit" e posta dopo il primo fasc. (ma in posizione di antiporta secondo Michel & Michel. Rép. 17. s., conservés dans France, I, p. 134) raffigurante l'emblema dell'Accademia, reca a stampa sul verso come epigrafe un brano dell'Odissea in greco e latino. Trascurabili fori di tarlo sul margine inferiore delle prime pagine. Buon esemplare.Prima edizione. Uno dei primi testi critici sull’opera di Omero. Bella tavola incisa in rame a piena pagina con l’impresa dell’Accademia dei Ricoverati di Padova: nel verso reca a stampa un brano dell’Odissea in greco e latino. L’Accademia fu fondata nel 1599: tra i fondatori Galileo Galilei e lo stesso Giovanni Belloni che nel 1601 ne fu pure il Presidente.

8vo, 195x145 mm; quarter vellum binding, title written on the spine. Bolzetta typographic mark on the cover (Peace) and Pasquati (Griffon with a table and winged globe) in the end. Elegant woodcut initials, head pieces and finals. Plate signed "Paulinus fecit" and posted after the first quire (but in the position of antiport according to Michel & Michel, 17th ed., conserves dans France, I, p. 134 depicting the emblem of the Academy, he writes on the verse as an epigraph a passage of the Odyssey in Greek and Latin. very small on the lower edge of the first pages.
