Native American, United States, Missouri, Paleo-Indian to Transitional Archaic Period, ca. 2nd millennium BCE to 1st millennium CE. A wonderful ensemble of 5 hand-knapped stone spear points. Boasting hues of charcoal and ash gray, the largest and only lanceolate weapon is an excellent example of an enlarged Clovis type, displaying a concave base, an outward recurvate blade, a collateral flaking pattern, and a central flute that travels about 1/3 up the body. The next point features a shade of sandy peach and a random flaking pattern forming an excurvate blade, a flattened cross section, a straight stem, upward angled shoulders, and a straight base. Third, the mid-size spear head exhibits a similar sandy peach tone and presents an inward recurvate blade, a contracting stem, a barbed shoulder, and a rounded shoulder edge created from corner notches. The 2 most petite weapons are both a creamy beige color. One showcases a concave base, an expanding stem, a horizontal shoulder with straight edges, corner notches, an excurvate blade, and a round cross section formed from horizontal transverse flaking, while the last displays a convex base, an expanding stem, a horizontal shoulder, a straight shoulder edge, side notches, and an excurvate blade.

All have expected nicks and abrasions. Second most petite has minor chipping to peripheries near tip. Otherwise, other 4 are intact and all are very nice with impressively preserved forms. All displayed in a modern Riker case.
