A monumental magnificent amphora ceramic sculpture of an elephant with two tigers, masterfully executed by Strasser in Vienna, dated 1906. This sculpture depicts an elephant as he is under attack from two tigers, one clawing up his back, the other being trampled underfoot. Nicely glazed and finished in gray color with white on elephant tasks. Absolutely gorgeous piece with great attention to every detail. Signed by artist on the base, with "Amphora" marked on bottom. In excellent commensurate with age and use condition, with very minimal wear. Dates: 1910. Limited Edition: No. Paperwork: No. Signature: On base "Strasser". Title: Untitled. Condition: (Excellent).
