Description
A primitive blanket box in original red paint having double paneled front, interior with till and small hand forged iron strap hinges that extend down the back, the lid with breadboard ends, original iron lock and hasp, and mounted on original bun feet. Early 19th century. Note, after box was opened and secured in the closed position, the lock was unfortunately activated and no longer opens and is without key. Minor insect holes, and overall good condition. Measures 42"W x 21"D x 17"H. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
