A pine blanket chest in original dark green paint. Corner post construction with butt iron hinges. Early, possibly original lock mechanism. Some damage and loss to the base moulding at the rear of the box. Nice clean interior. Overall, a good example of its type. Québec, circa 1840. 22" H, 43" W, 21" D.
