Description
Early 19th century Continental cut steel and gold bracelet mounted with three coins. Reeded and ball decorated band mounted with three early classical roman style coins, each coin depicting a portrait head. One titled "Caesar". Reverse of coins depict an eagle, a pegasus with latin inscription, and the other with SPQR within a wreath. Overall width: 2.5in. Size of square medallions: 11/16" square. Good condition. Gold not tested. Possibly made in Russia or Germany. From the estate of General Samuel Lawrence, whose personal belongings and collection of Civil War photographs are offered later in this auction.
