Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A collection of over 50 ancient hand-knapped obsidian stone ornaments, beads, and 2 projectile points, all exhibiting glassy, jet black hues. Each bead is painstakingly knapped and flaked into delicate disc and pendant forms with a pinhole piercing for suspension in the center, one has a scalloped edge, but most are circular and flat. The projectiles are triangular, one is petite and ideal for use as a dart or arrowhead and the other is bifacial with slightly more convex faces. This assortment is presented in a modern Riker case.
