Description
An antique faded Japanese woodblock. A woodblock by Utagawa Toyokuni, 1769-1825, a prominent master of the Ukiyo-e genre. The lot belongs to the Seven Komachi in Four Seasons series and represents a conversation scene between a samurai and a young woman. Provided with a Japanese text and left under the Toyokuni signature. Oriental Japanese Traditional Art For Interior Design.
Dimensions: Board 20 1/4" x 14 1/4" in. Woodblock 13 3/4" x 9" in. All measurements are approximate.
Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. Yellowing, scuffs, damage at edges and corners. Refer to photos. Sold As Is.
