Here is a beautiful naturally reliced 1983 57 Reissue Stratocaster handmade from Fullerton, CA. SERIAL NUMBER: V015539. COLOR: Lake Placid Blue Nitrocellulose Finish. WEIGHT: 7lbs 6.2 ounces (3kg/350g). Guitar is 100% original. Very lightweight Strat. This guitar has been played but has a lot of playing left. Look at this body, gold primer undercoat with the Lake Placid Blue Nitro finish, exquisite. The body has scratches and dings, just gives this guitar more character. All white plastics have yellowed nicely. Tremolo plate has two corner cracks, shown in photos. All metal hardware has a beautiful patina to them. Matching pot codes read 1378226, denoting the CTS Co. dated the 26th week of 1982. It appears that there may have been a drop of solder added to each of the pickups. We are not sure if this was done by Fender or not. Nonetheless this guitar plays perfect. The neck is in very nice shape with natural relicing on the back from it being played, smooth as buttah. Neck has a 7.25 radius, nice medium U shape profile. Fretware is moderate, frets have plenty of life left. Tuners and string tree have a terrific patina. The neck has a stamped date of 3 2183 (which we believe is March 21, 1983) at the butt, which is unusual, most necks have a pencil date at the butt. This is a gorgeous 39-year-old Strat that has been used, not abused. guitar comes with it original Duck foot tweed case in very good vintage condition with keys, Fullerton manual, tremolo arm, ashtray bridge cover, spring envelope with springs, and unused guitar strap.
