ALBERT OBERSCHMID (1913 - ?) SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer, a senior administrator at KL Sachsenhausen. T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Oranienburg, Nov. 24,1941 to SS-Unterscharfuhrer KURT KNITTEL (b. 1910), a senior SS staff officer at Auschwitz from 1941 who was placed in charge of entertainment and cultural diversions for the SS guards and staff, then stationed at Auschwitz. In part: '...I will talk to the education department to determine how they will use you...Now that you have been transferred, you will probably lose your theater visits which you liked to do here, extremely limited now...extended vacations are now impossible...you finally committed to buy ducks and geese from the Poles...'
