(1882 - 1968) American admiral and Commander of the Pacific Fleet when it was attacked by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor. Kimmel was consequently dismissed. He fought the charges for years, claiming that Roosevelt had prior knowledge of the attack. Scarce S.P., 8 x 10 in. b/w, a chest, up pose in uniform with a large naval vessel in the background, boldly signed at bottom in blue ink. Some trivial corner faults, else fine.
