Description
Meissen German porcelain Art Nouveau figurine. A Neoclassical figural work titled, "Allegory of Music," model 10, produced circa 1900 after Michel Victor Acier (French German, 1736-1799) for Empress Catherine II's collection in Oranienbaum Castle. A figural group of glazed cherub putti angel figurines playing musical instruments, the central figure modeled as Apollo, with laurel wreath and harp. With Meissen crossed swords backstamp and impressed model number 10 and additional form number 58 to underside.
