Twelve unframed chromolithographs, all with Kurz & Allison, Art Publishers, 76 & 78 Wabash Ave., Chicago copyrights for late 19th century. The images include The Fort Pillow Massacre (1892), Battle of Williamsburg (1893), Fall of Petersburg (1893), Battle of Champion-Hills (1887), Battle of Fort Donelson (1887), Capture of Fort Fisher (1890), Battle of Lookout Mountain (1889), Battle of Corinth (1891), Battle of Wilson's Creek (1893), Battle of Cedar Creek (1890), Battle of Stone River near Murfreesboro, Tenn. (1891), and Battle of Pea Ridge, Ark (1889). Each sheet 22.25" height, 28.25" width; Images 17.5" height, 25" width
Condition
Colors are strong to all the images. There are several with tears in the white margins and a couple with tears into the image (Battle of Fort Donelson and Battle of Cedar Creek) with a horizontal tear into the image at lower right. Small tack holes to most corners.
