This is a very fine 19th century carved wooden mask with a deep well handled surface, raised scar designs, carved teeth and painted linear designs. Ogoni peoples, Ekpo society, Nigeria, Africa. The mask measures 7 x 4.75 inches. ( 10.75 inches on custom display stand).
