Description
A large lot of items in Col. Ritchie's silk lined case with his Colonel's eagle emblem to the lid. Col. Paul James Ritchie (1911-1991) Col. Ritchie commanded Task Force Ritchie and the 736th Tank Battalion during World War II. He retired in 1965 from the U.S. Army as the Deputy Chief for Intelligence, Continental Army Command, after serving 34 years in command positions and military intelligence assignments. His military decorations and awards include the Legion of Merit, Silver Star, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Purple Heart. The lot includes: inscribed bullet swagger stick with attached emblems, Ritchie's cased Purple Heart, Inscribed Soldier's Medal, cased Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Clusters, inscribed Military Merit medal, WWII Victory medal, cased WWII German Occupation medal, cased National Defense medal, 103d Intelligence Battalion Commanders Medal for Excellence, M1916 holster, leather document / map holder, 3 WWII photos of Ritchie, two Col. and one Lt. Col. shoulder boards, sterling Lt. Col. emblem, Ft. Monroe photo album, inscribed sterling silver and enamel St. Andrew's Society, Williamsburg founders medallion, cased Parker 14K gold filled pens, and cased 1969 Parker 45 fountain pen desk set.

Dimensions are: the case measures 7 1/2 inches tall X 22 inches wide X 14 inches deep, 19.05 cm X 55.88 cm X 35.56 cm. All measurements are approximate.
