A wool Eisenhower style jacket with corporal stripes on each sleeve, 75 th Infantry patch on right sleeve, ETO advanced base patch, worn by U.S. soldiers in European from 1944-45 on upper left sleeve and three Overseas bars on lower left sleeve, black stenciled A8997 inside below collar and manufactures printed cotton label on interior left pocket, marked in pat Jackets, Field Wool, O.D. Size 44R Marx Clothing Co. Lot also includes a frankly confusing photo album from WWII, horizontal 4to size with embossed U.S. Marine Corps symbol on front board, string bound with 36 silver gelatin photographs including three captured German military9.3 x 7” photos showing Tiger tank, Pantzer tanks, 88mm field artillery, and naval ships under torpedo attach; plus U.S. Army photos of paratroopers, many photos from Hawaii, including burial detail at the Punchbowl, both army and navy personnel, biplane trainer and DC 3 planes as well as several photographs of Vietnam era U.S. soldiers. The 75 th Infantry Division landed in France on Dec. 13, 1944 and were soon involved in combat, including the Ardennes forest, and many other major campaignes with 94 days of combat and over 4000 casualties.
