Civil War 119 New York Regiment Infantry photographs of Elias Peissner and his brother Franz Elias "Francis Peissner, Elias Peissner was mustered in as Lieutenant Colonel on August 9, 1862 and Colonel on September 1, 1862, he was killed in action on May 2, 1863 at Chancellorsville Virginia, Franz Elias "Francis" Peissner was mustered in as a second Lieutenant of Company B on August 5, 1862 and first Lieutenant of Company B on December 19, 1862, he was wounded in action on May 2, 1863 at Chancellorsville Virginia, he was then mustered in as a Captain on July 1, 1863, he was discharged on February 28, 1864, he died in 1879 from convulsions.4" x 2 1/4" , included is a photograph of Elias Peisser's wife Margaret Lewis Peissner

Photographs have areas with some form of wear, staining on verso of Franz Peissner photograph, Margaret Lewis Peissner photograph has a small gouge mark
