FABERGE - RUSSIAN IMPERIAL SILVER and DIAMOND ENAMELLED GLUE BOTTLE
A Russian silver and enamel glue bottle, base on three legs with a dainty brush.
Engraved base, legs and neck of the bottle.
The inner edge of the neck is inlaid with stones.
The engraved brush has a blue stone on the top.
Hallmarks: '88' silver Russian standard next to a woman's head in a kokoshnik, turned to the right, FABERGE in Cyrillic and the initials of the master 'A.H' in Latin for FABERGE's jewelry head master August Holmstrom - please see information below.

WORKMASTER: August Wilhelm Holmstrom (Swedish August Wilhelm Holmstrom, 1829, Helsingfors, Grand Duchy of Finland - 1903, Russian Empire) is a Finnish jeweller, a master of the firm of Carl FABERGE in St. Petersburg. He studied at the Petersburg jeweller Herold, in 1850 became an apprentice. In 1857 he became a master and founded his own workshop. In the same year he took over the management of Gustav FABERGE's workshop in St. Petersburg. Along with the well-known FABERGE eggs, Holmstrom created a number of high-quality, exclusive and valuable ornaments that are currently stored in the Hermitage.
