FABERGE - SILVER and DIAMOND ENAMELED GLUE BOTTLE
This is a Russian silver and enamel glue bottle, standing on three legs and accompanied by a delicate brush. The base, legs, and neck of the bottle feature intricate engravings, and the inner edge of the neck is adorned with stones. The engraved brush is topped with a blue stone. It's a fine Faberge item.
HALLMARKS: '88' silver Russian standard next to a woman's head in a kokoshnik, turned to the right, 'FABERGE' in Cyrillic and the initials of the master 'A.H' in Latin for FABERGE's jewelry head master August Holmstrom - please see the information below.
CONDITION: In very good condition considering its age, with no visible damage or repairs. For additional information, please refer to the pictures.
PROVENANCE: 1. By origin, from a family of Russian emigrants in the THIRD generation in the USA, Seattle, Washington; 2. REFERENCE: Gerhard Rafael Albert Maria von Habsburg (born 14 November 1940) is a Faberge expert who has published books and articles on the jeweler Peter Carl Faberge. You will come across several examples of glue bottles made by Faberge.
DIMENSIONS: 2 3/4 inches (7 cm). Weight: 67.6 grams.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, Russian perfume bottles, made by different FABERGE workmasters, were sold on Live Auctioneers and Christie's for $15,000 (6 years ago), $16,000 (2 years ago), $22,100 (10 years ago), and $26,000 (14 years ago) - please refer to the screenshots for details. Today, prices have significantly increased compared to those of 5-10 years ago.
WARRANTY: The buyer has 5 days to inspect items for originality, valued at up to $5,000, and 10 days for items valued at $5,000 or more. Items can be returned to the seller for a refund; please refer to the Terms for more details.
NO RESERVE: Most of the auctioned items have NO reserve price. Among the remaining items, there are reserve prices set at incredibly low levels, typically ranging from 30-40% of the low estimate price.

August HOLMSTROM: August Wilhelm Holmstrom (Swedish August Wilhelm Holmstrom, 1829, Helsingfors, Grand Duchy of Finland - 1903, Russian Empire) is a Finnish jeweller, a master of the firm of Karl Faberge in St. Petersburg. He studied at the Petersburg jeweller Herold, in 1850 became an apprentice. In 1857 he became a master and founded his own workshop. In the same year he took over the management of Gustav FABERGE's workshop in St. Petersburg. Along with the well-known FABERGE eggs, Holmstrom created a number of high-quality, exclusive and valuable ornaments that are currently stored in the Hermitage.
