Gold wreath of laurel branches with plaited bunches of grapes.
On the wreath is laid a gold double - headed eagle beneath three gold Imperial crowns with gold ribbons falling from under the large Imperial crown. On the Coat of Arms is a silver wavy ribbon with the dates 1577 and 1877.
Below the Coat of Arms are the crossed sabre and mace and at their point of intersection is a gold Caucasian cross.

DIMENSIONS: 42-47 mm, weight is 14,36 g.

HISTORY of SALES: For the past 15 years the same badge was appeared in 2006 on auction in Moscow. It was sold for $12,000.

WIKIPEDIA: The Terek Cossack Host was a Cossack host created in 1577 from free Cossacks who resettled from the Volga to the Terek River. The local abTerek Cossacks joined this Cossack host later. In 1792 it was included in the Caucasus Line Cossack Host and separated from it again in 1860, with the capital of Vladikavkaz. In 1916 the population of the Host was 255,000 within an area of 1.9 million desyatinas.
