A look at the ornamental architecture of one of San Francisco's premier hotels, the Mark Hopkins on San Francisco's Nob Hill, which had opened on December 4th, 1926. Laid in is a large 4-page promotional flyer dedicated to the Peacock Court at the hotel, and the iron work by Michel & Pfeffer therein, with facsimile letters testimonial. As noted on a preliminary leaf of the main work, "This Volume is dedicated to the unusual in fine ornamental iron, as conceived by Weeks & Day, Architects & Engineers. All ornamental iron and bronze executed by Michel & Pfeffer Iron Works, San Francisco, Calif." OCLC/WorldCat lists eight copies.
