Description
A typed letter on plain white paper dated May 21, 1926 to a Mr. Luhr and signed Thomas A. Edison in pencil with his famous umbrella signature. The letter instructs Mr. Luhr to put his best men on the Western Union multiplex printer. It also instructs him to maintain the work schedules on the Ediphone and the dance reproducer. Measures 8.5" X 11". Condition fine with no folds or creases and good corners. Charles W. Luhr worked for Edison for 40 years as a project manager. Their internal correspondence can be found at Rutgers University Edison collection. Edison personally sent Luhr with an experimental X- ray machine to try and locate the assassins bullet in the critically wounded President McKinley. Thomas Edison attended Luhr's funeral in 1930.
