Single page typed letter dated October 06, 1902 from Chicago businessman Herman Ernest Dick to German manufacturer S. Bergmann regarding the European production of Edison's new storage battery. (Sigmund Bergmann was an Edison associate who in 1900 had sold his interests in Edison's companies and returned to Berlin Germany to set up manufacturing of electric lamps and other ventures.) Dick outlines how the percentages of ownership will be split. Bergmann has noted and accepted the terms in the right margin. Edison hand writes a note at the bottom that he is willing as long as the terms between he and Dick are carried out. Signed Thos. A. Edison with umbrella signature. In VG condition with 2 horizontal creases from folding. Includes a heavy paper/canvas envelope from A.B. Dick Makers of Edison Mimeographs. Envelope marked in pencil, Edison Battery Contract.
