Jinxiu Yao Woman's Headdress, China, Early 20th C.Unique Yao headpiece with embroidered handwoven material and an interesting leather horn like protruberance which culminates in a large solid red wool pom pom, with two more pom poms at either side of its base. Black and white beads decorate the sides. Hand woven and embroidered cotton, beads, leather, rattan frame, red wool. Size: 8'' x 12'' x 7'' (20 x 30 x 18 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
