Limoges style earthenware vase with Japonesque designs including flying crane, dragonfly, flowering cherry tree, blooming irises, jumping frog and strange kanji

impressed factory marks, painted artist's monogram and date on side of vase

Catalog Note:
Definitely a Pottery Club vase both based on style and date, this piece appears to be signed "FSB" on the side. Miss Fannie S. Banks was a member in good standing in 1882, thus the attribution. This is one of the better efforts by a Pottery Club member at Rookwood.
