Vintage RPPC of the Deceased Dalton Gang Members After the Coffeyville Bank Robbery, Owned by the Photographer
Vintage real photo postcard (RPPC) 5.5" x 3.5", bearing a photograph of the deceased members of the Dalton Gang including Tim Evens, Bob Dalton, Grat Dalton and Dick Broadwell with a shotgun positioned over the bodies of Bob & Grat Dalton after the famous bank robbery in Coffeyville, Kansas on October 5th, 1892. The gang robbed the town's two banks of nearly $25,000 before being ambushed by angry town citizens. The bottom of the postcard reads “No. 8 - Copyrighted by Tackett” “The Daltons of the Coffeyville Raid”.

John Tackett owned a photography studio in Coffeyville, where Tackett would capture the famous images of the Dalton Gang after the Coffeyville raid. Tackett would also go onto collaborate with Emmett Dalton in order to write, film, produce and distribute a movie about the raid.
