Anonymous Early Stereotypical Black Ball Toss Figure.
c. 1900-30s.
Paint on old rough cut lumber with early metal hinges.
Great working condition.
Original paint.
Has expected wear from lots of use. Overall great environmental condition.

Carnival games using Stereotypical African American Figures as targets of violence were meant to de-humanize people for entertainment. This particular figure was created in the first quarter of the 20th C. Unbelievably, it was not uncommon to use actual live human targets through the mid 1940s.
