Description
The first has a very primitive look, with a mechanical nose that, when struck squarely by ball toss from carnival-goer, would release a metal lever in the carving, releasing the spring-loaded hat atop the figure. This indicated a winner. Carving also sits upon a hinged neck, so that neck could fall backwards to show game operators which player was a winner. The second has a primitive hinged jaw that does move slightly, probably a ring toss head. Sits on an original early painted base. The first has multiple areas of paint loss, scratches and scuffs, dings consistent with age and intended use. Lever that releases hat has detached from hat and will need repair to become functional. The second has a great early look, with multiple areas of paint loss, dings, scratches and scuffs. Condition: (Good - Very Good). Dimensions: Each: 13" x 7" x 8".
