Description
For your consideration are (4) Norton & Seymour of Syracuse, New York, "Premium" coin silver spoons. Each spoon measures 5 7/8" in length and the lot weighs 2.6 ounces. The head of each spoon is period engraved with the monogram "KMB". The reverse of the neck of each spoon is marked "Norton & Seymour", with a 3-cartouche 'pseudo-mark' and "Premium". The pseudo-mark, commonly used on coin silver of the mid-19th Century in NY, consists of a star, letter "D" and an eagle.
