L'Eloge de la folie. Traduit du latin d'Erasme par M. Gueudeville. [Paris]: 1751.
4to (248 x 190 mm). Etched frontispiece and 13 plates by various artists after Charles Eisen, etched title vignette and head- and tail-piece. Contemporary mottled calf, spine with raised bands, red morocco spine label, richly gilt in compartments, all edges gilt, rebacked preserving original spine and endpapers.
Provenance: Cortland Bishop (bookplate); Mary S. Collins (bookplate); Purchased from Sesslers, Philadelphia (pencil notation).
