Description

This is a lot of four unusual daguerreotypes,

1) Ninth plate. Two different daguerreotypes of two different individuals. Highly unusual. No case.

2) Ninth plate. Circular daguerreotype, likely for a locket, with nails in the four corners, against a black background. Very good full case missing latch, but still attractive.

3) Sixth plate. Daguerreotype plate of a bonneted woman, with a metal plaque depicted at the bottom. Unusual to see the bare plate shown without a mat and preserver. Half case.

4) Ninth plate. Locket of an ultra handsome man. Half case.

1) Light scratches. Very good anyway. 2) Some light areas in the black are not milkiness and are not a distraction. Good to very good. 3) Some scratches. 4) Wipes.
