Description
A pair of Near Eastern scaraboid seals from the Levant. The first is in red glass, c. 1000 - 500 BC, oval in shape with hole lengthwise for suspension. On base a seated griffin before a frond. 17 x 13 mm. The second is in limestone, c. 1st Millennium BC, with high domed back and horizontally drilled, the base with a quadruped. 17 x 13 mm. Ex collection of Peter Cheremisinoff, NJ.
