Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, ca. late 2nd to 1st millennium BCE. A pair of stone stamp seals, one black and one a pale reddish sandstone. The black one has a symbol of a lamassu, a bull-bodied, winged, human-headed protective deity; the sandstone one depicts a standing figure with a large staff. Size of largest (black): 0.85" W x 0.7" H (2.2 cm x 1.8 cm)
