Four Chinese Multi-Colored Overlay Translucent White Glass Articles
18TH-19TH CENTURY
清中期 白地套五彩料賞瓶及小罐一組四件
each of translucent body, overlaid in shades of green, yellow, red, blue, black, and pink. The first a bulbous jar, decorated with a band ofruyiheads about the wide mouth rim, the exterior showing bats flying amidst fruiting trees issuing from rockwork, the second a bottle vase with an applied opaque yellow foot, the pear-form body rising to narrow neck and slightly flaring mouth room, the overlay carved with details of flowering lotus beneath gourd vines; the third a covered jar, the covered terminating in a transparent green finial above fish swimming through lotus blossoms. The last a petite jar decorated with roosters and a cat teasing a butterfly.
Height of tallest 7 1/2 in., 19 cm.
