To include: an 1861 Confederate currency Corporation of Charlottesville one dollar bill with steam engine vignette, very tattered and worn with losses; Idyls of the Lawn, an illustrated leather bound book of undergraduate fiction from the University of Virginia, signed by the illustrator Duncan Smith (1877-1934,) published in 1899 by the Stone Printing and Manufacturing Company, Roanoke Virginia. Other Charlottesville ephemera includes, a 1939 University Baptist Church bulletin, an Invitation to a Young People's League Dance at The Studio, Fry's Spring, a letterhead envelope for A. M. Kerr Marble & Granite, a c. 1870s Charlottesville cover with green George Washington 3 cent stamp and fancy cancel, an 1893 invitation to the Commencement ceremony at the Albemarle Female Institute. Also includes two vintage postcards for Charlottesville native son and major league baseball player, coach and manager Mike Cubbage; an offset print after a painting entitled "Young Jefferson" by David Silvette, pencil signed by the artist; and a late 19th-early 20th century advertising match striker for Thornhill Wagon Co., Lynchburg, Va (damaged)
