Double Cemi. Head is in reversed owl-like. Head rest on hands attached to arms that form a second set of hands. Legs forward. Referred to as directional opposition, a design only used by the Taino. Made of a grey basalt. Taino culture. Originally from the Dominican Republic. Provenance: Larry Roberts, author of "Taino Sculpture: Art of the Gods." Size: 6.5'' x 2.5'' x 1.25'' (17 x 6 x 3 cm).
