Theodore Roosevelt: Presidential Gone with the Wind Lamp. 22" tall kerosene lamp issued to honor President Theodore Roosevelt and his mediation of the Russo-Japanese War in 1905 which resulted in him receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. The upper milk glass globe is decorated with transfer images of the White House, President Roosevelt, a dove, clasped hands, scroll & palm leaves, an American eagle & draped flag. The bottom milk glass base has transfer images of an American eagle & draped flag (repeated), a quill feather & laurel wreath (repeated) and a dove in a decorative cartouche titled "Peace". The colors are yellow, green and deep rose. The base accommodates an adjustable "Success" burner & reservoir. In excellent condition. A terrific display piece for one of our most popular Presidents!
