Description
A rare German Meissen Biedermeier Period porcelain vase modeling of Greek Amphora type, having handles shaped as sculptured female figurines of mermaids who hold garland of leaves in hands. The vases' outer walls are decorated with paintings of Antoine Watteau style depicting Rococo couples in a garden landscape. Strewn floral patterns are scattered on the white porcelain surface. The vases stand on a round foot attached to a square flat plinth. Marked in blue, on the bottom.

Overall condition good with a couple of small chips. Restored.
