A Chinese watercolor and ink painting on paper of Guanyin dating from the 19th century. She is riding a guardian lion and holding a ruyi wand. The painting is mounted on a silk backing and framed.
Dimensions are: 64 inches tall X 30 inches wide, 162.6 cm X 76.2 cm, while the frame measures 68 inches tall X 36 inches wide, 172.7 cm X 91.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There are significant areas of damage and repair as well as areas of creasing, cracking, loss, and overpainting.
Provenance: From Mrs. Stevens in Palm Springs, California. A family heirloom.
