Includes a Whale's tooth with scrimshaw decoration of a ship sailing at sea in the distance with two dolphins in the foreground and birds in flight. Circa 1890-1920 good condition, partly filled with clay to hold to stand Measures approx. 3.75"h (not including stand) by 1.5" (at widest point).Provenance: Directly from consigner. Her husband was a doctor on The Main Line, Wayne, Pennsylvania. He predominantly collected Philadelphia silver, London silver and other objects of considerable interest including fine art, period furniture, Oriental rugs and fine reproductions in the manner of Williamsburg Virginia furnishings by kittinger and Baker.
