Description
A Chinese turquoise-ground blue and white vase dating from the 19th century. The globular-bodied vase features nine dragons chasing flaming pearls among ruyi clouds above a wave motif. A Greek key border surrounds its base, and lotus petal bands surround its shoulder and neck. It has a 6-character mark on the bottom.
Dimensions are: 13 inches tall X 12 1/2 inches wide, 33 cm X 31.8 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The vase has glaze chips, crazing, glaze pops, and iron pits.
Provenance: From Mrs. Katrozo in Beverly Hills, California, collected by her parents and grandparents in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
