This lot consists of a framed oil painting on board, rendered in the Post-Impressionist style of Paul Cezanne (French, 1839-1906). "P. Cezanne" is painted by hand at bottom right. This dynamic image portrays a bustling European village, punctuated with verdant trees and bordered by a distant, hazy mountain range. A fine testament to Cezanne's adept talent. This painting would be a highlight to any art collector's gallery. Framed measurements approximately 15.5" x 17.5".
Reverse side of piece features multiple supports and an affixed paper labels.
Paul Cezanne (French, 1839-1906) is regarded as one of the greatest contributors to the Post-Impressionist era, a herald of modernity and an influence on many later art movements, including Fauvism, Expressionism, and even Cubism. Cezanne's art grew up and out of the Impressionist era, but would come to subvert all convention and ultimately stand for unwavering integrity in the painter's craft.
