Unknown, Massachusetts hanging banjo or patent timepiece, mahogany and gilt case, painted metal dial, moon hands, 8 day, weight driven brass movement.

Condition

Mahogany case in an old finish in good condition. The bottom board shows evidence of weight damage. Gilt door frames in good condition for their age. Replaced tablets. The painted dial is dark and the paint looks blistered from exposure to high heat. Original hands. Period finial. The movement is attached with two screws through the backplate. Top door glass is missing. ACCESSORIES: Pendulum, Finial, Weight
