Interesting piece of a English diving & rescue technology widely used around the world. This is an authentic vintage Siebe Gorman air pump. The pump was operated via a handle or by pushing the peddle with your foot. In many cases the handle attachment is missing, but this one still has it! The original spring, hardware and leather billows are still in nice original condition. The Siebe Gorman company brass plaque on top is present as well as a signaling instruction plaque. This style of pump was used for shallow water diving and with firefighting smoke helmets. An optional horn could be attached in place of the air line, making this a signaling device. Pump weighs 25 pounds, measures 24 inches long, 15 inches tall and 10 inches deep. When the pump is compressed, air still comes out!
