DESCRIPTION: Native American, probably northern Plains, carved pipe stem and accompanying catlinite/ pipestone bowl. The hand carved stem with geometric triangles carved in low relief along the stem. One end tapered to fit into the original catlinite bowl and the other carved as a mouthpiece to smoke. The shaft wrapped in a variety, primarily green, trade beads. The bowl of typical form and well executed. MEASUREMENTS: Bowl 4-1/4 " long x 3 " high; pipe overall 22 " long. CONDITION: Pipe shows toning and wear consistent with age. Bowl has been smoked, but otherwise in very good condition. IMPORTANT: Before bidding, please read the terms and conditions.
