AFTER EDWARD C. POTTER (AMERICAN, 1857-1923) BRONZE SCULPTURE, 1993, H 17", W 15", "SIGHTING THE ENEMY" A reproduction bronze after Edward Clark Potter's 1909 bronze titled "George Armstrong Custer Equestrian Monument (Sighting The Enemy)." Depicting General Custer mounted on horseback. The original statue was erected in 1910 in Monroe, Michigan between Elm and Monroe Street. Presented on a marble base, measuring H 23" x W 17.5" x D 10" overall. Having "S.C. Potter Sculpture 1909" and "COPYRIGHT BY RAISIN RIVER BRONZE CO. MONROE, MI 1993" with edition number ("4/25") and serial number ("S.19930425") to the base.
