Description

Both Haynie and Harrell were serving under Captain Thomas Green under Major Lewis. Haynie was to receive $41.00 and Harrell $62.50. Harrell was captured by General Woll near Rio Salado (Dawson's Massacre or Musquite Fight). He was a fortunate survivor! Lewis and Green were leading a party against warring Comanche. The Republic of Texas inherited from the provisional and ad interim governments a debt estimated at $1.25 million.
