Choice Civil War Union Officer Sixth Plate Tintype
c. 1861-1865 Civil War Period, Union Officer Sixth Plate Tintype, Choice Very Fine.
This Tintype Photograph image is of a Union Army Officer seated in his frock coat and military vest, his right hand resting on the knee of his crossed tight leg. He appears to be a Lieutenant. Housed in half of a typical floral decorated embossed leatherette case of the period, Sixth plate size and measures 2-5/8" x 3-1/8". This image nicely enhanced with some Hand-coloring of the buttons, the shoulder insignias, and a watch chain was added. A crisp, clear image that represents a nice collectable example for display.
